Get ready for a festive spectacle as the Holiday Train pulls into the Amtrak Station in Port Henry at 5:10 -5:35 p.m. Join us in celebrating the 26th year of this heartwarming tradition that brings holiday joy to communities across North America.

  • Charitable Cause: As part of the Holiday Train's annual mission, we are collecting non-perishable food items for local food shelves. Don't forget to bring a canned good to contribute to the local food shelf and support those in need during the holiday season.

  • Musical Extravaganza: Enjoy a fantastic lineup of musical talents, featuring performances by James Barker Band and Clerel The box car stage provides the perfect setting for a night of unforgettable entertainment.

  • Community Support: The Holiday Train is not just about entertainment; it's about giving back. With the support of generous corporate contributions, the event aims to raise funds for local food banks, making a positive impact on communities.

  • Coast-to-Coast Celebration: The Holiday Train begins its journey in Montreal in November, traversing through 164 communities in the United States and Canada. Each stop is a festive occasion, spreading holiday cheer and goodwill.

  • Free Admission: Admission to the Holiday Train event is entirely free, ensuring that everyone can join in the festivities and experience the magic of the season.

  • Refreshments: Warm up with complimentary hot cocoa and popcorn, adding to the cozy and festive atmosphere.

Your eclipse itinerary:

Monday, April 8th

- 12pm: The Brown Swan Tavern, The Bevy, and our Beer Truck will all be open and serving food and/or beverages

- 1pm: Check-in and grab your special eclipse viewing glasses out back near the viewing spot

- 2-3:30pm: Enjoy the eclipse from partial viewing to totality. Glasses available on-site!

- 3:30-4:30pm: Ticketed private event starts with cocktail hour held in the High Peaks Ballroom, serving snacks with an exclusive cash bar available

- 4:30-7:30pm: Dinner buffet is served, DJ is mixing up jams, activities and games take place for kids, bounce house entry granted

Get ready for the 2025 Adirondack Harvest Festival! 

The 2025 Adirondack Harvest Festival will return to the Essex County Fairgrounds in Westport, New York on Saturday, September 20 from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. 

This highly anticipated FREE one-day celebration of agriculture in the Adirondacks highlights local food trucks, a farmers’ market, live music, a local beer and wine tent, demonstrations and workshops, a farm animal petting zoo, educational kids activities, and more!

    Introduction to Fly Fishing

    This one-day workshop will introduce you to the art and science of fly fishing. A combination of indoor and outdoor instruction will focus on the basics of fly casting, gear, and technique.     Licensed Fishing Guide Rick Kovacs will be your instructor for this one-day workshop, focusing on the basics of fly casting, gear, and technique. Just bring your lunch and willingness to learn something new or work on your skills.

    Canoes & Coffee

    Canoes & Coffee with Guide ADK & Origin Coffee Co.

    Come enjoy a morning paddle on Lake Flower with Guide ADK, then coffee and a sweet treat from Origin Coffee Co.! We'll meet at the Lake Flower Boat Launch at 7:00 a.m. and paddle up into Oseetah Lake before returning to the same boat launch. There is a $25 fee, and canoe rentals are available for $50 with prior notice.

    Every Wednesday and Saturday in the summer- 1pm

    Join us for a guided walk along our beautiful Rich Lake Trail every Wednesday and Saturday at 1pm throughout the summer until August 16th. The Rich Lake trail is an easy 0.7-mile loop that winds through various habitats, including a raised boardwalk through a cedar swamp, and offers views of the Goodnow Fire Tower.

    North Creek Farmers Market

    North Creeks Thursday Farmers Market!

    Located in Riverfront Park (next to the train station) in North Creek on the banks of the beautiful Hudson River.  Every Thursday, 2-5:30PM from June 27 - September 19, rain or shine! There is a multitude of vendors selling local crafts, fresh veggies, meats, prepared foods, flowers, local PB&J, libations, weekly musicians and more.  We are doggie friendly too!!  Parking is easy and take time to wander the shops of North Creek.
