Rock climbing in the Adirondack Hub
While the Hub doesn't have the concentration of climbs that areas like Keene Valley have, there are a few crags with high quality lines. Ragged Mountain, near North Hudson and the Boreas Ponds Tract, has a few routes ranging from a classic 5.8 to hard 5.12, and other classics that can be toproped if the 5.8 is lead to the top.
There are other crags that have tough sport routes, which aren't all that common in the Adirondacks, but in the Hub these spots have just a few climbs. If interested in getting more information on them, and the surrounding area, look on Mountain Project.
Leave No Trace
The magic of the Adirondacks is the result of previous generations taking a long view and protecting the mountains, lakes, and rivers within the Blue Line. That tradition continues today as we support and encourage everyone to practice Leave No Trace ethics, which help protect the lands and waters of the Adirondacks.
