Schroon Lake Department Store

Small Business - Family Owned

The Schroon Lake Department Store (formerly Towne Store), is housed in a building that has served the community in one capacity or another for over 140 years. When Amanda and I (Ryan) took over the business in 2023 it was important to us to continue that legacy. I've been coming here my entire life and understood the importance of this business to the community. It's equally important to us that we honor the history of this building and business as we go. We're excited to put our own spin on the business while working to restore aspects of the buildings historical nature. In doing so we'd also like to be mindful of our environmental footprint and our responsibility as stewards of the Adirondacks and Schroon Lake region.
